October is proving busy so far with walks, talks and poetry! So far National Poetry Day was spent at The Pines Garden, St Margaret’s Bay, where Sue Emms, Gary Studley, Mary Anne Smith and Derek Sellen inspired us to write new poems of the garden and the sea. On Saturday 12th I was privileged to be a guest poet along with Lemn Sissay, Sam Rapp, Angel Cakes Dye, Sarah Jenkin and David Dykes at The Glass Box Theatre, Gillingham for Dyslexia Awareness.
This coming Saturday, 19th, I’ll be running a Family Poetry Day at Portsmouth Museum, and next Saturday, 26th Oct, I’ll be performing with the brilliant Neelam Saredia-Brayley courtesy of Saveas Writers at St Mary Bredin Church in Canterbury.
Pumpkins and apples are bountiful and the colours of autumn are all around us. Enjoy!
